I’m the last person on the Internet to know this, but the Tartine cookbook doesn’t include the morning bun recipe! Bastards. At least I was able to look at it in a bookstore, before I plunked down my money.
But here is this recipe, allegedly straight from Tartine. And because I was too peeved to actually buy the book, I’ll start with croissant dough from this recipe. Then I might go Tartine one better by whizzing the zest and the sugar together in the Cuiz…
Went to the Tartine here in SF the other day…and damn do they make some good quiche! Never thought I’d find myself being that impressed by quiche. Lemme know when you try that recipe.
