An essay on a life of meat-cutting. Clearly a Tony Bourdain protege, in writing style anyway (I’m sure he developed the similar lifestyle all on his own). Phrases that won me over: “Chipmunk Squeezers,” “…in prison, of all places,…” “the laughably inept LA subway.”
Although now that I’m thinking about it, maybe this is the guy who wrote the book about cooking for mob bosses in prison? Some persnickety people called it total fabrication. Or maybe I’m confusing him with the Irish guy who claims to have done the same thing. Oh yeah, here’s the takedown.
