Off-topic from Spain, but just read this wonderful recipe for panuchos (tasty Yucatecan snack) on Yucatan living.
Where am I going to get a second daughter?
More on Spain shortly. Have I mentioned? Internet access in Spain sucks. But everyone seems too busy eating seafood to care.
Did you see this in NT Times today? It looks very good, from restaurant in Madrid, but probably in other places in Spain. Susan
“Then I took the time to explore the menu and found tortillitas. These cute little no-egg pancakes, originally from Andalusia, feature chickpea flour, shrimp or other seafood, onion, herbs and olive oil. Not much else. Yet they are a near-perfect appetizer or small meal, quickly and easily made.”
For internet access in Madrid: the tourist information office has free wifi. Actually, _many_ tourist information offices have free wifi, if you’ve got a laptop (and I presume that you do.) Otherwise, usually the local library has it. Also, some bars do. In Granada, there’s free wifi that comes in a block south and two blocks west of my old apartment.
