Funny. It had at some point crossed my mind that the fruit in the supermarkets in Spain was too perfect looking, and now that it gets mentioned, the carrots at the farmers’ market never were mis-shapen …
That actually creeps me out more than the perfect produce in the Netherlands. In the micro-managed lowlands, you kind of expect it. In wild-n-crazy Spain? No way…
